Qualifying for Challenge Sports National Championships July 31 - Aug 3, 2008 and Kickit3v3 World Championships, Jan 2009 Qualifying for the Challenge 3v3 National Championship at Disney's Wide World of Sports July 31 -Aug 3 2008 brings with it a bonus opportunity for teams. This year, the only path in Florida to the Kickit World Championship in January 2009 is through the Challenge 3v3 National Championships, where the top 5 teams in each Division will qualify for the January 2009 Kickit Championships. The next closest Kickit Regional Qualifier geographically will be held in Evans Georgia, near Augusta on August 9/10

Age Group Facilitators - Some age groups like the youngest girls ages, Adult Coed, and Adult Women have fewer teams than many others, and it can be hard for teams to find tournaments where they can play without being combined with other ages. We have had some folks volunteer to help coordinate a couple of those age groups to help teams find others to play against and to coordinate play so they can meet at certain tournaments. more....
Challenge Sports Scholarships Each year Florida Challenge Sports Events awards two college scholarships to high school seniors. Awards in the amount of $400 are made to two high school students who demonstrate a high level of cooperation, sportsmanship and fairness in athletic competition, academics, and other aspects of their lives.
Any student who has participated in a Challenge Soccer Tournament either as a player, referee or volunteer is eligible to apply. Print a scholarship application by clicking on the link above. Challenge Sports Scholarship (This is the 10th year for the Challenge Sports Scholarship)
Each year Florida Challenge Sports Events awards two college scholarships to high school seniors. Awards in the amount of $400 are made to two high school students who demonstrate a high level of cooperation, sportsmanship and fairness in athletic competition, academics, and other aspects of their lives.
Any student who has participated in a Challenge Soccer Tournament either as a player, referee or volunteer is eligible to apply. Scholarship entry deadline was May 10. The 2008 winners will be announced in June
Scholarship winners for the first 10 years of the scholarship are posted on our web site. Every year since 1998 Challenge Sports has offered 2 College Scholarships to High School Seniors who have participated in one or more Challenge Tournaments in some capacity.... as players, volunteers, referees, field marshalls, scorekeepers, coaches, etc.

Sided Tournaments
10th Annual Labor Day Challenge Tournaments Aug 30- Sept 1, 2008
GIRLS BOYS.Two of the most popular season opening tournaments in Florida are the Girls Labor Day Challenge and the Vero Beach Boys Labor Day Challenge. The Girls Tournament is played on fields in Brevard County, featuring brand new Mitchell Ellington Park in Merritt Island as the site for U15-U19 teams that are convenient to the beaches of Cocoa Beach, and Ron Jon's Surf Shop to make for a weekend of fun on and off the soccer fields. The boys tournament is played at beautiful Hobart Park in Vero Beach with 8 Fields on one site

We have had some folks volunteer to help coordinate a couple of those age groups to help teams find others to play against and to coordinate play so they can meet at certain tournaments. These folks will be helpful to teams that are looking for other teams of their same age and skill level to set up friendlies or to plan to meet at a tournament.

Qualifying Tournaments Coming UpQualifying for the 2008 Challenge 3v3 National Championships July 31 - August 3 at
Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex is under way. Qualifiers coming up soon are listed below. We are encouraging teams to register early. As an incentive, we have increased the early entry discount to $25 for all Challenge Sports managed 3v3 qualifiers. This does not automatically apply to affiliate events who make their own decisions about entry fees and late fees.Challenge Sports and Kickit have expanded their working relationship for 2008. We will have 3 joint qualifiers, May 10/11 in Miramar, May 17/18 in Clearwater, and June 21/22 in Orlando. Teams that qualify For the 2008 Challenge 3v3 Nationals will be able to qualify there for the Kickit Championship to b replayed in January 2009. All official Challenge 3v3 Qualifiers lead to the Challenge 3v3 Nationals and as a result all are also on the path to the Kickit Championdhip
The Early Entry Deadline for the 2008 Challenge 3v3 National Championships is July 1. Teams that qualify in the July qualifiers below will have the deadline extended until 2 days after they qualify. Teams qualifying on July 5/6 will have until July 8 and those qualifying on July 12/13 will have until July 15 to apply

Full Sided - Labor Day Challenges Great Weekends of Soccer August 30 - Sept 1, 2008 The Boys Labor Day Challenge in Vero Beach and the Melbourne Area Girls Labor Day Challenge in Melbourne and Cocoa Beach are great season opening tournament options. The main site for boys in Vero is Hobart Park, While the Girls Tournament is played at several sites in the Melbourne area, all convenient to the beaches of Melbourne and Cocoa Beach where teams can relax when they weren't on the field playing. 2007 Results and Action Photos for both tournaments can be found on our web site here Girls Boys

The July 31- Aug 3 Championships will be bigger and better than ever and the fields at Disney's Wide World of Sports will be filled with teams from across the US.
